Trading name: XPTO Studio

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website and purchases made through the online store.
By placing an order, the customer acknowledges these terms, without prejudice to any mandatory rights granted by applicable consumer protection legislation.
XPTO Studio sells home décor, lighting and other items manufactured or personalised using production methods that may include 3D printing.
Product images, colours and finishes are provided for illustrative purposes. Minor variations may occur due to materials, manufacturing processes and screen settings, provided that the delivered product complies with its advertised description and essential characteristics.
Certain products may be personalised according to the customer’s preferences and specifications, including names, text, dimensions, colours or other available features.
Customers are responsible for carefully checking the information supplied for personalisation before confirming their order.
XPTO Studio may contact the customer to clarify specifications before production begins.
Prices are displayed in euros unless otherwise stated.
Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be shown during checkout before the order is confirmed.
Customs duties, import taxes and other charges imposed by the destination country may be payable by the recipient, subject to the applicable rules and the information provided at checkout.
The payment methods available at checkout may include:
Credit and debit cards;
MB WAY, where available for payments in Portugal;
Google Pay;
Apple Pay.
The availability of each method depends on the checkout configuration, payment provider and customer’s country.
Additional methods, such as PayPal, may be introduced if activated by XPTO Studio. A payment method is only available if it is actually displayed at checkout.
Payments are processed through the payment providers made available by the store. Customers should never be asked to send full payment card details by email.
Orders will normally be processed once payment has been confirmed, unless otherwise stated during checkout.
XPTO Studio aims to offer worldwide shipping, subject to the availability of delivery services for the destination selected at checkout.
Orders can only be accepted for destinations where delivery is available and permitted.
The current estimated timeframes are:
| Stage or destination | Estimated timeframe |
|---|---|
| Production and preparation | 3–5 days |
| Shipping within Portugal | 2 days |
| Shipping to Europe | 5 days |
| Shipping to the rest of the world | 7 days |
Production time is separate from shipping time. Shipping estimates begin once the order has been dispatched.
These timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, carrier, seasonal demand, public holidays, customs procedures or circumstances beyond XPTO Studio’s control.
The applicable delivery information will be provided before the customer completes the purchase. Any legally binding delivery deadline and the customer’s statutory rights in the event of delay take precedence over an estimate.
Shipping costs will be displayed before the order is completed. They may vary according to the destination country, weight, dimensions and selected shipping service.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details.
If delivery fails because the customer provided incorrect or incomplete information, XPTO Studio will assess the circumstances and inform the customer of the available options.
International deliveries may be subject to customs clearance, import duties or local taxes.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, these charges are the recipient’s responsibility.
XPTO Studio does not control customs procedures or clearance times.
If an order does not arrive or arrives damaged, the customer should contact info@xptostudio.com, providing the order number and a description of the issue.
Where possible, customers should retain the packaging and provide photographs of any damage. This helps with the investigation and does not limit the customer’s statutory rights.
For online purchases made by consumers, a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal generally applies from the date the product is received, subject to the exceptions established by law.
Customers do not need to provide a reason for exercising this right.
To initiate a return, customers must email info@xptostudio.com using the subject line “Return” and provide:
The name used for the order;
The order number;
The product they wish to return;
A clear statement that they wish to exercise their right of withdrawal.
XPTO Studio will reply with the relevant return instructions.
The product must be sent back without undue delay and within the applicable legal timeframe following notification of the withdrawal.
Products must be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transport. Customers may inspect products to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. They may be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for such inspection, as provided by law.
The direct cost of returning non-personalised products following a change of mind is borne by the customer, provided this obligation has been communicated before the purchase.
Where a valid withdrawal is exercised, refunds will be made in accordance with applicable law, including the cost of the standard initial delivery where legally required. Additional delivery costs resulting from the customer’s choice of a more expensive delivery method do not have to be refunded.
A refund may be withheld until the returned goods have been received or the customer has provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
Products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
This may include items featuring names, text, dimensions, designs or other characteristics specifically selected by the customer.
Accordingly, returns are not accepted for personalised products solely because of a change of mind, cancellation of preference or personal dissatisfaction where the statutory exception applies.
This exclusion does not affect the customer’s statutory rights where a product is defective, damaged, does not match the agreed specifications or otherwise fails to meet applicable conformity requirements.
If a customer receives a defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied product, they should contact info@xptostudio.com, providing the order number and a description of the problem. Photographs should be included where possible.
XPTO Studio will assess the issue and explain the next steps.
Where a lack of conformity is covered by applicable law, consumers may be entitled to remedies such as repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract, depending on the circumstances.
Any costs that must legally be borne by the seller will not be charged to the consumer.
Cancellation requests must be sent to info@xptostudio.com and include the order number.
Whether an order can be cancelled depends on its production and dispatch status and the applicable legal rules. For personalised products, production having started does not remove any statutory rights that apply; however, the exception to the right of withdrawal may prevent cancellation solely due to a change of mind.
Products sold to consumers are covered by the statutory conformity rights and guarantees applicable in the relevant jurisdiction.
For new movable goods sold to consumers in Portugal, the general statutory period of liability for lack of conformity is three years from delivery, subject to the applicable Portuguese legislation.
If a product has a lack of conformity covered by law, the consumer may be entitled, depending on the circumstances, to repair or replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract.
Complaints will be assessed according to the nature of the issue, the circumstances and the customer’s applicable statutory rights.
Personalisation does not, by itself, exclude statutory conformity rights.
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorised modifications or failure to follow usage instructions may fall outside the seller’s liability where permitted by law and where there are grounds for exclusion.
To report a conformity issue, customers should contact info@xptostudio.com with the order number, product details and a description of the problem.
